This week we are welcoming three new sponsors, participating at our camp.

First there there will be Acquia attending our camp in person and presenting their new program.

Second we got sponsors contributing to the camp in other ways:  Addison Wesley will donate books and Novatrend will donate hosting contracts with them. Together these two companys will contribute a value of 1500 CHF, which we will pass on to the particiipants by means of a lottery.

The company Erdfisch will also participate at the Media Camp. They come in as a Silver Sponsor.

There will be a presentation by one of Erdfisch`s founders Frank Holdorff about "Die Zeit" a well known German newspaper. They will do a second presentation on theming with ZEN.

There will be another highlight coming to Aarau. The project "Die Welt Debatte" which translates to "the world debate" will be introduced by its founder Christian Ruhnau.

"Die Welt" is a well known german newspaper. It will be interesting to see how moderation tools are used to handle the high day to day volume of content contributions. We will see how big newspaper companies take advantage of Drupals funcionality.

There is again good some good news to share.

The internet plattform Schweizer Radio DRS designed by  Quatico Solutions will be part of the Media Camp.

There will be some exciting sessions about how it was designed and build by its architects. In this case Drupal was used as a combined platform joining an intranet  with a public site.

Yesterday I met with Edipresse in Lausanne. They are very interested in the Drupal Media Camp and will participate in Aarau heavily:

They have planned the following actions:

• Session on diverse topics such as "How Drupal helps the Media to save on time and money" and "Collaboration within the Swiss Media firms"
• Technical features of their sites
• Promoting the Drupal Media Camp within the Swiss Media
• Promoting the event within their company

With Edipress there  will be a big media company participating in the event.

I was impressed by the way Edipress uses Drupal. This should be an of some interest to Media companies in general. Edipress can be considered an  important use case to demonstrate Drupal`s powerful features .

We decided on the place for The Drupal Media Camp: it will be hosted by the community center Telli in Aarau, which seems to be a perfect match for the event.

We will have 3 parallel slots for presentations. The rooms are pretty big and can take up 50 to 120 participants each.

You can get there from the Aarau train station by a 3 Minute bus ride. So we will be well connected by puplic transport.

The Drupal Media Camp is meant for at least two groups of participants:

• Those who are looking to expand and extend their media and communications repertoire. If you want to find out how Drupal can help augment your capabilities for communicating, collaborating or building communities, this event is for you.
• The contributors to the Drupal community who help make it such an exciting product. We would love to have you show the participants modules, themes, solutions, case studies, code etc. especially in the media area.

During drupalcamp.de the Drupal Media Camp Switzerland 2009 was announced.
